Thank you so much for your incredible support! Our 22STARS family keeps on getting bigger and we are so happy of what we have been able to achieve thanks to you in the past couple of years.
We have now reached the incredible threshold of 300 children supported, and this number keeps on growing every day!!
Some of you have been wanting to provide the children with extra gifts, such as dolls, clothes, shoes and school items, and have asked us if you could ship a present for the kids. Unfortunately, we have decided not to provide this option any longer.
Beside the fact that would be quite expensive for you to send goods here, in the past we had many experiences with packages being opened before arrival and/or getting lost. Often times we were also expected to pay taxes on the goods we were receiving, and all of these factors made the process quite tedious for us and our managers.
Moreover, we have plenty of local clothes makers and shoe makers in our community who make very nice and high quality goods, and for this reason we prefer to buy those items locally, also as a way to support and boost the small business in Uganda.
Just to give you an idea, a good pair of shoes or a set of second hand clothes can be bought for about 40,000 ugx (10 euros).

If you would like to get your child a gift write us letting us know what you wish to get him/her. We will then send our project managers to buy the present and send you a picture of your child receiving it :))
