Giving back to less privileged people is so important! Therefore we want to share this cause with you as it is very close to my heart. 22STARS is run in Uganda by power woman Susan Laker who faces many challenges, but had just one wish: Educate our Children!
Susan Laker, who runs the 22stars Foundation in Uganda is to me, Stella, the most powerful inspirational person on earth and to many others as well! She survived cancer and the conflict in Northern Uganda. She is about my age, but has 3 kids who she got when she was only 13 years old! She is hiv positive and there was a point in her life that she wanted to give it all up. She was super weak and she had to watch her own kids sitting in the dirty stone quarry crashing stones for survival.
For the sake of her kids she stayed alive and became creative in finding alternative ways to earn money. She worked extremely hard and to cut a long story short, she went back to school a couple of year ago and learned how to read and write! But this is not were she stopped.
Susan showed me how important education is and asked me directly to help her sending also all the other kids to school who are working in the quarry. I am going to be myself again in Uganda in May and June and you are more than welcome to come and visit us there! If that's a bit too far, we are asking if you might could help us out with a donation or spreading the word.

The 22stars foundation is selected in the accelerator program of GLOBAL GIVING! But is still lacking 4000 usd and 20 unique sponsors in order to become a permanent member of GG. There are only 10 days left (!!!) to reach the threshold.

They help nonprofits access the tools, training, and support they need to be more effective and make our world a better place. All their Permanent Member organisations are highly scrutinised, deliver every 3 months financial reports, give tax exemption receipts and will be visited every two years by GG as well!
