The August Photo:
KIDS ARE THE FUTURE

In this image, you can see one of our sponsors, Ulrich Buchwald, visiting his sponsor child Joseph at 22STARS in Jinja. In our September behind the picture Blog Post, you will read the full story behind this picture, written by his girlfriend Daniela Beck.
Ulrich visit to Uganda
Ulrich has been sponsoring Joseph for many years. Once or twice each year, we arrange a trip to Uganda for our sponsors to visit the projects of 22STARS. Ulrich participated in one of these trips, creating a deeply emotional moment between him and his sponsored child. Ulrich had the opportunity to visit the school that Joseph attends, where he met his teachers and Joseph's twin brother. He explored the various programs we offer at our 22STARS community center in Jinja for the children. Witnessing the positive impact on the community and Joseph's life firsthand, Ulrich expressed his gratitude during the Saturday celebration for the transformative experiences and the hope he observed. The trip ended with a heartfelt farewell, as he promised to maintain connections and support the community's development, leaving him inspired to share his journey and motivate others to make a difference. Thank you, Ulrich, for your generous spirit and for traveling all the way to Uganda to visit us! If you’re interested in visiting your sponsored child, be sure to check our Social Impact Trip pages. Alternatively, you can connect with your child through letter exchanges.
What is a social Impact Trip?
A Social Impact Trip is a unique travel experience that combines adventure with meaningful contributions to communities in need. These trips are designed to bring together like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference while exploring new cultures and environments. Participants visit our projects and exchange skills with our team. The goal is to create lasting social change by fostering connections between people from different backgrounds, enhancing their understanding of global issues, and contributing to sustainable solutions. Since 2017, the 22STARS Foundation has been organizing group tours to Uganda, aiming to showcase both the beauty of the country and the impactful work we do. We’ve welcomed over 80 participants, many of whom have returned to co-host future trips.

Sending Letters
Besides visiting Jospeh personally in Uganda, Ulli has also changed many letters with him throughout the years, which means a lot for the boy.
Do you also like to send a letter to the child you sponsor? Write in a Word document at the top of the page the number and name of your child (written in your Welcome Certificate and our email communications). Write then your message in English (you can also insert pictures). Save the document with the number and name of the child and email us the document (maximum 2 pages). Once a term we check how many letters we received for the children and we print them out. The kids love to handwrite a response or make a drawing depending on their age, which we will photograph. We then organize the pictures and send you per email the picture of your child and their response.
We send out the Letter Pictures once a quarter, since some kids are in boarding school, so please be patient with us. Below are some of our recent pictures to give you an idea.
