Across Uganda, education continues to be one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty and creating long-term opportunity. In Jinja, this impact is becoming visible through the real-life journeys of our alumni, young men and women whose lives have been transformed through consistent educational support.
These stories reflect more than individual achievement. They represent families strengthened, communities uplifted, and futures redefined.
Anna Mirembe: From University Graduate to International Employment
Anna Mirembe is among the first beneficiaries of our program to be supported through university level education.
In 2023, she graduated from Kyambogo University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Education. Shortly after, she returned to teach at her former school, Jinja Secondary School, giving back to the very community that supported her early journey.
Her path soon expanded beyond Uganda. Anna was later offered employment in Qatar, where she now works in a general hospital.
Her education has become a foundation for financial independence and global opportunity. Today, she is able to support her mother and siblings back in Uganda, creating ripple effects that extend far beyond her own success.
Anna continues to express deep gratitude for the foundation that supported her from the earliest stages of her education.
Kitalimwawe Shafic:
Building a Career in Construction and Finance
After completing his A’ Level education in 2023, Shafic focused on developing practical skills to improve his employability.
In 2024, he enrolled in barista training in Ntinda and gained initial work experience at Café Javas. Seeking further growth, he completed a short course in procurement and logistics, which opened new career pathways.
Today, Shafic works with ROKO Construction, one of Uganda’s leading construction companies, in the finance department. He is currently based at a major project site under the National Physical Planning Authority works in Nakasero, where he supports site management and financial control.
Shafic now lives independently in Kampala, is married, and is steadily building stability for his household. He supports his mother and is gradually investing in personal assets.
He describes his current life as significantly improved and credits the foundation for guiding him from secondary school through skills training and into formal employment.
Eyoga Benson:
Technical Skills, National Infrastructure, and Creative Talent

His work requires frequent travel across the country, supporting electrical installation and maintenance projects wherever needed. This role provides both stability and a sense of adventure, allowing him to contribute directly to national infrastructure development.
Beyond his technical career, Benson is also a talented musician. He plays drums and piano and actively supports his local church by assisting with sound systems, wiring, and live musical performance during services.
He continues to grow professionally while contributing his skills both in engineering and in his community.
The Broader Impact: Education That Transforms Generations
These stories are not isolated successes—they represent a growing impact model based on long-term educational support, skills development, and mentorship.
When young people are supported consistently, they do more than improve their own lives. They:
- support their families financially,
- create employment pathways for others
- Strengthen local communities
- Contribute to national development systems
In Jinja, we are witnessing how education becomes a cycle of empowerment that extends far beyond the classroom.
