  • Fundraising Campaign Ideas

The last couple of months we received donations from people raised in very unique ways; through birthday parties, garage sales and even two poker nights. Below you will find some fun ideas to raise money, that will help spark your own creativity!

    1. Celebrate your Birthday

Send flyers to your guest informing them what the 22STARS foundation does. Instead of presents, ask your friends and family to support our projects for children and their families in Uganda. Contribute to clean water, medicine, school fees, food, toys or just a general cause. You choose!

    2. Graduation party

Are you graduating? The best way to celebrate your achievement is by enabling other children to go to school too. Ask your friends and family to celebrate you by contributing to the 22STARS kids foundation. Empower our kids to become change- makers in their communities.

    3. Get married

Are you getting married? Woohoo congratulations from us! You can order a little goodie bag from 22STARS to give a bracelet to all your guest to remember this special day. And the best is that every bracelet supports directly a child in Uganda. In addition, you can explain your guests about our projets and ask them to contribute to the 22STARS foundation.

    4. Throw a poker/games night

Host a poker party or other kind of games night at your place and invite your friends or the members of a group you are part of. Ask them an entrance fee to be able to play and tell them that this money will go to the 22STARS foundation. Show them the 22STARS kids video and tell them our story. As a group, you can make a bigger impact in the lives of our children in Uganda!

    5. Give a dinner party with impact

Throw a dinner party at your house for your friends. Tell them that everyone’s plate of food, will be also a plate of food served to the kids in Uganda. Show them the impact that we are making and the food that we cook for the kids. As a group, you can easily get money together so we can also throw a dinner party for the kids.

    6. Race for the future of children

Are you an active person who loves competitions? Sign up for a marathon, city run, Viking run, or whatever challenge you may find. Race to enable children in Uganda to go to school. Education is the best way to fight poverty and disease.

    7. Office time

Do you want to talk about something else with your clients then just business? Share the story of our kids in Uganda by putting some of our flyers on your office table, share our story in your newsletter and on your website. Show them the passion you have in helping children getting a better future.

    8. Clean up your house/wardrobe

If you take a good look into your closet you probably will find tons of clothes that you don’t need anymore. And most likely you will even find more things that you never use. Hold a garage sale and sell the things you don’t need. With the money, you are making, we can buy clothes and medicine for the 22STARS children.

    9. Organize a book club

Do you like reading books? Create a book club with friends or participate in an existing one and propose to read the following books that inspired 22STARS work in Uganda. Discuss the book afterwards and collect donations for our projects.

Oboke Girls. By Els De Temmerman. In October 1996, 139 girls were abducted from St Mary's College,

in northern Uganda. This book reconstructs the journey of two Aboke girls who managed to escape.
